The Adam Project

Wednesday Weekly Write-up:

Netflix’s The Adam Project

I enjoyed this time-traveling movie. The draw back for conservative parents is the profanity.  Ryan Reynolds’ character often swears and uses Jesus Christ as a swear. It also has some violence which is why it has a PG-13 rating. It’s a heartwarming tale of a young boy who meets his older time-traveling self. They embark on a quest to save humanity. The film addresses bullying, bonds between fathers and sons, as well as moms and sons. Walker Scobell does a superb job as the young Adam. The chemistry between Walker and Ryan was perfect. This had a star-studded cast with Jennifer Garner, Mark Ruffalo, and Zoe Saldana in supporting roles as Adam’s mom, dad, and wife respectively. They deliver stellar performances as usual. Enjoy.
