Laugh with your soul loudly.
Pray with your heart fearlessly.

Live each day as an adventure.
Thrive eternally.

The description boxes are what the piece means to me. But…art is personal. It doesn’t matter what the artwork means to anyone else. Only to you. I’d love to hear what a piece means to you, if it whispers to your soul. It may whisper something completely unique to you. And that is a good thing.
Thank you!
Waterfalls by Crissy B.
Waterfalls (to the left):
Water is my favorite element for many reasons, not the least of which is the peacefulness it brings to my soul. It cleanses, it nourishes, and nothing would live without it. No matter the size of the waterfall, it calms my spirit. I could watch it all day! I hope you enjoy this piece.
Beach Chairs by Ocean Blue by Crissy B.
Beach Chairs by Ocean Blue (above):
Many of my paintings include water. As I stated previously, it is my favorite element. This was a commissioned piece. The customer loves sitting at the beach and enjoying the waves as they crash along the shoreline.
Me too!
Van Gogh-ish Night by Crissy B.
Van Gogh-ish Night (above):
This was a commissioned piece. The customer loves the impressionist style and Van Gogh in particular. Also the poppies in a field.
It was a fun piece to work on and my first attempt at mixing styles.
Wanderer Waiting-Looking Out to Sea by Crissy B.
Wander Waiting-Looking out to Sea (right):
At this painting’s completion, I felt for the first time like I was an actual artist. It is the 4th piece in my Wanderer series. I had sold numerous paintings before completing this piece, but the moment I acknowledged myself as an artist is forever cemented in time and linked to this painting.
For this reason, it is my favorite piece and I have, as of December 2023, been unwilling to sell the original. Perhaps someday.
Wanderer’s Redemption by Crissy B.
Wander’s Redemption(right):
This is the 3rd piece in my Wanderer series. It began as a much different piece than how it ended.
As there is some of me in each Wanderer, this is my redemption. I painted this at a low point in my life. A time when I had drifted as far from God’s path as I have ever been. I am no saint. I will never claim to be anything, but what I am. A saved sinner.
God did not leave me in the fiery pit made of my own bad choices. He cast His light from heaven to show me the way out. I am so grateful for a forgiving and loving God.
For this reason, as of December 2023, I have not been willing to sell the original. Perhaps. someday.
Wanderer Snowy Pass (Below & to the left):
This was my second Wanderer piece and it is considerably better than #1 which does not appear here for a very good reason. Wanderer #1 was my first attempt at anything but landscape. It showed. For those of you who do not know me or my history, I have never had an art class. I taught myself how to paint. Inspired by watching Bob Ross for years.
The original of this piece is for sale for $850. Dimensions: 18x24. Contact me if interested at Crissy@CrissyB.com or via the contact page.
Purple Forest Glow by Crissy B.
Purple Forest Glow (to the right):
I love color. All colors. Well, except that blah grey which tends to remind me of depression or prisons. I’ve often wondered why we paint our prisons grey?
However, I have a special affinity for the color purple in all of its shades and tones. Purple forest was done for that reason. Purple just makes me happy.
Autumn Woods River by Crissy B.
Autumn Woods River (above):
This was a commissioned piece. The customer requested a fall scene with the changing of the leaves. I, too, love fall. It is such a beautiful season.
Stormy Skies by Crissy B.
Stormy Sky (above):
I chose to paint the sky with a flat knife to give it texture and intensity. It became one of my favorite skies.
Texas Hill Country-Summer by Crissy B.
Texas Hill Country-Summer (left):
This was a commissioned piece. The customer wanted a beautiful sunrise and blue bonnets in the Texas Hill Country.
Texas Hill Country- Spring (To the right):
This is a different perspective of the same painting earlier in the season and in the process of painting.
Texas Hill Country-Spring by Crissy B.
Texas Hills and Lake by Crissy B.
Texas Hills and Lake (left):
This was a commissioned piece. The customer had seen the above painting, but wanted an original. She asked for something similar.
If you’ve never seen blue bonnets in bloom in the Texas Hill Country, you are missing a beautiful sight.
The Hill Country is different from every other part of Texas.
Spring Tree Blossoms by Crissy B.
Spring Tree Blossoms (left):
Springtime brings hope after winter has ended. It is a time for possibilities and beauty.
Colored Forest in Winter by Crissy B.
Colored Forest in Winter (left):
This was a fun painting. I used a different technique to achieve the various tones. It sold quickly.
Red Flowers by Crissy B.
Red Flowers (above):
This piece was inspired by the artwork of Marcia Baldwin.
Tropical Dreams (left):
My cousin posted pics from a trip with her company, Noonday, and I was inspired to paint this piece. Stunning sunsets in my favorite colors. The original is for sale. Dimensions are 30x24. Price $3,050.
Hawaii Coastline by Crissy B.
Hawaii Coastline (below):
This was a commissioned piece. The customer spent her honeymoon in Hawaii and sent me numerous pictures to combine into one painting. This was the result.
Stormy Night & Ocean Cliffs by Crissy B.
Stormy Night & Ocean Cliffs (right):
This was my first attempt at painting on a black canvas. It was also in my limited pallet series. It was a gift to my mother whose favorite color is blue. She also loved ocean scenes.
Blue Wave at Sunset by Crissy B.
Blue Wave at Sunset (right):
This was my first attempt at painting a wave. It holds a special place in my memories.
Green Ocean Waves at Sunset by Crissy B.
Green Ocean Waves at Sunset (above):
Another attempt at waves in the beginning of my artistic journey. I once saw a deep green ocean and wanted to capture that moment.
Canoe Island Dreams by Crissy B.
Canoe Island Dreams (right):
Isands. Boats. Calm seas. Warm water. May your dreams come true.
Blue Winter Cabin (above):
For this painting, I limited my color pallet and chose a more impressionistic background. I love how this piece makes me feel the cold of winter.
Blue Winter Moon by Crissy B.
Blue Winter Moon (left):
This was part of my experimenting with a limited pallet. I loved it. So did one of my customers.
Mountain Cabins on a Lake by Crissy B.
Mountain Cabins on a Lake (right):
I painted this one as a Christmas gift for my brother, Bryan.
Spring Green Glow Old Barn by Crissy B.

I love the contrasting colors from the flowers and trees with the overall green glow. The original is for sale. Dimensions are 24x24. Price $550.
Let Freedom Ring by Crissy B.
Let Freedom Ring (below):
This was my first pastel. It was inspired from a piece by Michael Wright I saw once in a book and by a 4th of July I spent with my sister, brother-in-law, and nieces in Kansas City. The original is for sale. Dimensions are 16x20. Price $850.
Desert View by Crissy B.
Desert View (below):
This was my first desert scene. Some of the most beautiful skies I have seen were in the desert. The sheer vastness visible adds to the beauty. They say the dust particles reflect light which makes stunning sunsets.
Sky On Fire by Crissy B.
Sky On Fire ((below):
Another desert scene of the Organ Mountains at sunrise.
Impressions-Organs & RioGrande by Crissy B.
Impressions-Organs and Rio Grande (right):
Another desert scene of the Organ Mountains with the Rio Grande in the foreground. This was a postcard done in acrylics.
Humid Swamps by Crissy B.
Humid Swamps (left):
This piece was done during the first years of my painting journey. It reminds me of my nursing contracts in the southern part of our amazing country.
