Great American Movies are the wholesome shows for which Hallmark used to be known. One of Hallmark’s biggest mistakes (aside from straying from their wholesome programming) was killing off Daniel Lessing’s character on When Calls the Heart. None of the replacements were his or his character’s equal. I don’t know if it his dimples, his down to earth presence, or his seeming effortless acting, but I love his characters from every show in which I’ve seen him. Because of this, I was very happy to see a new movie starring Daniel pop-up on my Christmas movie search on Amazon Prime.

Christmas Keepsake is totally one of those adorably cheesy Christmas rom-coms. A guilty pleasure during this holiday season. Daniel’s character, Tom, and his daughter, Grace, move to a small American town from Australia right before Christmas. Grace finds a time capsule while playing in the snow and they set out to accomplish all the events on the list hidden within the capsule to have the best Christmas ever.

This is a delightful treat. After all, what woman wouldn’t enjoy falling in love with someone like Daniel Lessing. Enjoy!
